This reduction comes days after the government slashed domestic LPG cylinder prices by Rs 200.

Public sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have cut the price of 19-kg commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 158, effective immediately. With this, the new retail sales price for a 19kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will be Rs 1,522.

It may be noted that both commercial and domestic LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinder prices undergo monthly revisions on the first day of each month. Therefore, the reduced commercial LPG cylinder prices will come into effect from today.

Earlier in August, Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) had already reduced commercial LPG cylinder prices by Rs 99.75. This follows a previous increase in July when commercial LPG cylinder prices were raised by Rs 7 each.

Before this, there were consecutive reductions in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders in May and June this year. May saw a decrease of Rs 172 per cylinder, while June witnessed a reduction of Rs 83.

In April, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were also decreased by Rs 91.50 per unit. However, on March 1, petroleum and OMCs had increased the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 350.50 per unit and domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 50 per unit.

1) Delhi: Rs 1,522.50
2) Kolkata: Rs 1,636
3) Mumbai: Rs 1,482
4) Chennai: Rs 1,695
